    Do you have children ages 2 or under? If so, then Mother Goose Lapsit is a storytime designed for you! Enjoy a half-hour of developmentally appropriate activities featuring stories, songs, and rhymes Mondays at 10:30 a.m. This program introduces little ones to the story time experience and is perfect for developing language and vocabulary. Sign-up is not required.

  2. Peggy Stern Musical Performance

    March 18, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Library

    Accomplished pianist, composer, and songstress Peggy Stern will perform selections from The Great American Songbook of the 30’s and 40’s at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18 at the Huntsville Public Library. Ms. Stern and her musical partner (sax and clarinet) will play a concert, mixing familiar tunes from the American Standards with Latin Jazz and Western Swing. The audience is encouraged to participate by singing along, asking questions, and even dancing to the music!

  3. Pilates for Everyone

    Pilates is a great way to strengthen your abs, reduce back pain and hone your focus. Pilates student teachers from the SHSU Department of Dance will teach a weekly class from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM starting Monday, February 11 in the Community Room at the Huntsville Public Library. The Huntsville Public Library is partnering with the SHSU Center for Community Engagement for this program. Pilates classes build strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine. Benefits include production of muscle tone that doesn’t create bulk, overall slimming, greatly improved flexibility and increased mobility, even in just a short time. Please bring your own towel or mat. Consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor.
