  1. GED classes

    June 24, 2017, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Library

    The Huntsville Public Library will host free GED classes from noon to 4 p.m. each Saturday in May and June. The classes will be taught by Lone Star College staff. Students are required to attend Orientation (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Testing (2 to 5 p.m.) on Thursday, May 4 in order to enroll. Students 19 years and older should bring with them a valid government-issued photo ID. Students 18 years of age, in addition to the ID, need a self-consent form, a parental consent form, and a withdrawal form from their previous institution. Class dates are: May 6, 13, 20 and June 3, 10, 17, and 24. The Library will be closed on Saturday, May 27.   3. Free Microsoft PowerPoint classes

    The Huntsville Public Library is offering free Microsoft PowerPoint classes this summer! Classes will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays starting June 6th through June 29th in the Board Room. These classes will feature how to make PowerPoint slides with themes and animation. June 6 - Starting a New Presentation; June 13 - Add A Pre-formatted Slide Part 1; June 20 - Add a Pre-formatted Slide Part 2; June 27 - Adding Manual Content. Class size is limited to you must be registered to take the class. You can register here or at the Tech Reference Desk. This FREE program is for adults 18 and older.
