About the Program
The City of Huntsville conducted its City U. program in the fall of 2014. Providing an opportunity for the public to see inside its local government, each week the program focused on different functions of the City, to provide greater understanding and familiarity with City staff and processes.
Typically, up to 15 citizens of Walker County are admitted, with priority given to city residents. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. The program is free and usually held on weeknight evenings at City facilities, for roughly 10-12 weeks. Participants cannot miss more than three classes to successfully complete the program.
Dates and an application form will be posted when future sessions are scheduled. For more information, contact the City Secretary's office at 936-291-5403 or by email.
