GED Classes

The Huntsville Public Library will host free GED classes. The classes will be taught by Lone Star College staff. 

Students are required to attend Orientation (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Testing (2 to 5 p.m.) on Thursday, May 4 in order to enroll. 

Students 19 years and older should bring with them a valid government-issued photo ID. Students 18 years of age, in addition to the ID, need a self-consent form, a parental consent form, and a withdrawal form from their previous institution. Class dates are: Saturdays, May 6, 13, 20 and June 3, 10, 17, and 24 from noon to 4 p.m. or Monday, Wednesday and Friday May 8 to July 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. The Library will be closed on Saturday, May 27

ProCitizen is an online course to prepare New Americans for the civics, reading, and writing parts of the USCIS Naturalization Test. Includes 100 instructional videos in both English and Spanish.
